In recent years, there has been a significant interest in regional food, a desire to know more about the food on our plates, where it comes from and how it is produced.
By buying local produce you not only help the farmers and producers, you also assist the local economy and protect our heritage. Buying produce which has not travelled a great number of food-miles and which is produced using environmentally friendly methods also helps to save our countryside.
En-form organises an organic box scheme, publishes a directory of local producers and sellers and helps run and promote farmer's markets in Colchester and Tendring.
