1. Reduce 'junk' mail
2. Don't
use disposable nappies
3. Use e-mail instead of the
post - Instead of using paper by sending
letters use e-mail instead. It is free,
quicker, easier to store on your computer
and uses no resources over and above your
use of the computer.
4. Whenever you buy
anything ask yourself :
Do you need it? Is
your house full of clutter
already? Realistically, will you
use it? Has anyone ever used a
breadmaker, sandwich maker or
other such gadgets?
Is it overpackaged?
Choose the less packaged
alternative.
Have recycled
materials been used? If there is
a choice, use the recycled option.
Can you use a second
hand alternative? You could cut
down waste and at the same time
help a good cause such as a
charity.
