Objectives of group
  • Probably the most famous of all the conservation organisations. Formerly known as the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) it has now changed to the Worldwide Fund for Nature.
  • It formerly concentrated on saving wild life and natural habitat throughout the world but has now widened its scope to many more areas of environmental consern.
  • The worlds largest independent conservation organisation. Tackles issues from the survival of species and habitats to climate change and sustainable business.
  • Since 1985 WWF has invested almost a £1 billion in 11,000 projects
